Every new year, a group of close friends gathers to celebrate our long-term friendship, the holiday season, and the beginning of a new year. And along with exchanging gifts, reflect on the past year, we share our intentions for the new year with a word. I decided to resurrect BALANCE. Unfortunately, due to past life challenges such as being a single parent, business owner, and the primary care supervisor for an aging parent, I failed my commitment to myself.

After the challenging past year with COVID-19, my word BALANCE re-emerged for 2021. In Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal’s Health & Wellness section, they published Allison Pohle’s article, How to Improve Your Work-Life Balance,  which I want to share with you.

As a broker and consultant to clients seeking valuable health, life, and long-term care insurance solutions, I can attest to how poor health & wellness practices eventually affect ones mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, not to mention the long-term impact to the individual and their families’ financial, health and wellness.
